Pywacket and Gypsy, Feline Goddesses
ABOUT
Welcome to our little peaceable blog kingdom
The Cat’s Meow is offered in a spirit of love and peace. It strikes us that domesticated creatures share our homes – often with great devotion and unconditional love – and that occasionally various wild species of animal mix with each other – and even care for each other – which would seem to be contrary to their nature. If they can live in peace and community, why can’t we?
The Cat’s Meow:
- Is dedicated to Pywacket and all the creature companions who have provided our family with over forty years of unconditional love.
- Is produced under the editorial management of Gypsy who continues to give her own special spin to the tradition of feline companionship. Although, truth is, as far as peace and community go, Gypsy says, “Frankly, I don’t give a damn. Feed me.”
- Is also dedicated in appreciation to the CitySon Philosopher who took Gypsy in when I could no longer care for her and the The Girl From New Mexico, who has taken her to heart and cares for her so well.

A Prayer for Animals
Hear our humble prayer, O God,
for our friends the animals,
especially for animals who are suffering;
for any that are hunted or lost
or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put to sleep.
We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them
we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us be true friends to animals
and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

We hope you enjoy The Cat’s Meow and that you come back often for respite from busy days and trying times.
Thank you!
