“”I never met a dolphin I didn’t like …. I never met a dolphin.”
THE DOLPHIN IN THE MIRROR
by
Dianna Reiss
THE DOLPHINS IN THE MIRROR is an homage to dolphins and an education for us. It tells of dolphin creativity, playfulness, self-awareness, and ability to communicate with humans. The author is also know as The Dolphin Whisperer. Her book is the antidote to the practices we learned about in The Cove, a documentary film that investigates the cruel and barbaric killing customs in a cove near Taijii in Japan, practices that also pose health-risks to humans. You can watch The Cove for free HERE.

I read this yesterday and must have gotten sidetracked–I thought I left a comment. Well, anyway I loved this. Their infatuation with themselves in the mirror was so cute–the same way kids get when they discover their images.
“The Cove” was difficult to watch–just heartbreaking for me. We must protect these animals.
She’s really in the news around here because of her good work. I really, really do love dolphins and the myths and legends that have grown around them.
