Here is the snowy egret chick at 29 days old. The chick was hand reared by bird keepers in an off display area of the Bird House. The diet consists of big bites of fish and mice along with some added vitamins. See the two previous videos to see how quickly it grew in just three weeks. Often go birding with friend, Eleanor, and we see egrets out on the bay lands. Lovely graceful birds. Sometimes I fancy they’re people watching as we go bird watching. Wonder what they think of us …
